During the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, I am providing video and telephone sessions instead of in-person individual therapy and couples therapy for clients in California. Although in general I prefer to see clients in person, I have been pleasantly surprised to find that video therapy can be a good option during these strange, stressful, and confusing times.
It makes sense if you are feeling sad, scared, anxious, or disappointed right now . . . our lives have been turned upside-down by the evolving COVID-19 emergency, and we don't know precisely when things will return to some semblance of "normal." And for couples, you may be trying individually to manage your own worries while also navigating new routines (like both working from home, not having childcare, and other changes).
