I enjoy having a diverse and welcoming practice, and I welcome clients from various cultural backgrounds and from LGBTQ+ communities.
I love the creative, collaborative work of therapy, which I approach with a sense of fierce integrity. I believe that our past experiences and relationships influence our thoughts, emotions, and actions today, and I see the therapeutic relationship as a place to discover and try out new ways of being and feeling in the world.
I draw on a number of different approaches to make therapy meaningful and productive for each of my clients, and I like to pay attention to important past experiences as well as what comes up right there in session. I believe in the healing and insight-building power of the therapeutic relationship itself.
I have worked with individuals, married and unmarried couples, families, children/adolescents, and groups at various locations throughout the East Bay. I hold a Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from San Francisco State University (2016). I have completed the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 Training, and I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I served as president of the Board of Directors at Blue Oak Therapy Center in Berkeley from January 2021 to January 2022.
